Gersom & Amada Ayala
Leaders
Gersom Ayala is the son of missionary pastors who received a Home of Hope in 1999. The following year Gersom did a Discipleship Training School to become a full-time staff at YWAM San Diego/Baja.
Amada had a difficult childhood. She become a mom at the age of 16. In 1997 Amada came to Tijuana looking to achieve the American dream. She and her son Oscar joined part of the congregation where Gersom’s parents were pastoring.

In 2001 they married and started their ministry. From 2001 to 2017 they help plant eight churches in vulnerable communities throughout Mexico. “Faro de Luz” is one of these church plants. They are veteran missionaries with YWAM San Diego/Baja.
Faro de Luz is an independent community ministry with the purposes of restoring families in the light of Christ. It is located in the Tijuana community of Ranchito.
